Hi! I am a Lecturer III in the Computer Science and Engineering department at the University of Michigan (U-M).
About Me: Professional
I finished my Ph.D. in 2020 at U-M, where I was a part of the LIT research group, supervised by Dr. Rada Mihalcea. Before then,
I earned my Master's degree from U-M in 2017 and my bachelor's degree in computer science at Grove City College in 2015.
My research is in the area of natural language processing, where I am interested in word embeddings,
computational social science, machine learning techniques, and multimodal problems with vision and
language. If you're interested in my research or publications, please see my research page.
About Me: Personal
Outside of work, I love spending time with family and friends, crocheting blankets, taking long
walks outside, and reading novels. I am an active member in my church, Christ Church Ann Arbor - everyone is
welcome to come join us! (We also have a student group on campus, Reformed University
